What upkeep covers
Grounds are the first thing a visitor sees and the easiest thing to let slide. Maintenance runs to a schedule, so the site looks the same in its ninth month as it did in its first.
- Lawn mowing, edging and seasonal reseeding
- Pruning, hedge trimming and tree care
- Planting, replanting and seasonal colour
- Weed control, mulching and soil conditioning
- Irrigation checks, with minor repairs to lines and emitters
- Leaf clearance and green waste taken off site
Indoor and atrium planting
Potted and atrium planting is maintained on the same visit - watering, feeding, cleaning foliage and replacing anything that has stopped looking well - so reception areas do not slowly fill up with tired plants.
Replanting and change
Where a site wants to change rather than maintain, replanting is planned around what the position will actually support: available light, water, and how much foot traffic the area takes. A scheme that needs constant rescue is not a saving.
How visits are scheduled
Most sites run a weekly or fortnightly visit with the heavier seasonal work planned in. Visits are timed so that mowers and blowers are not running through a client walkthrough or the morning arrival window.
